How to read this number
It's an estimate, and it knows it
The calculator doesn't know you: it knows the proportions this line of work usually shows. From how many people follow you it works out how many can end up seeing you, from there how many pay, and from there how much they spend. Change one of those proportions on your account and the result changes — and on a real account at least one of them always is different.
It's for grasping the order of magnitude and for seeing what happens when one lever moves, not for producing a quote. If it says four thousand, the right reading is “this account sits in that range”, not “I will bank four thousand”.
The 20% the platform keeps
OnlyFans keeps 20% of everything that comes in: subscriptions, tips, paid content. That isn't an opinion or a negotiable figure — it's the platform's published commission, and the calculator already deducts it.
What's left is still gross. Out of it come your country's taxes, whatever you spend producing content and, if you have people working with you, what they cost. No calculator can subtract those for you, because they change from person to person.
Why two creators with the same subscribers take home different amounts
Because the subscription is the small part. On an account that gets attention, messages and extra content are worth more than double the subscriptions — two and a half times, in this calculator — and that part depends on how much conversation happens, not on how many people signed up.
That's why two accounts with identical subscriber counts can be miles apart: one answers messages, the other doesn't. And it's why growing followers without touching the conversations moves the result far less than it looks like it should.
